OChK has been certified to four ISO standards. On the Polish market, this places OChK as one of the leaders in the security of processed data.

OChK has been certified for compliance with the following international standards:

  • ISO 27001:2013 – Information security management systems
  • ISO 22301:2012 – Business continuity management systems
  • ISO 27017:2015 – Code of practice for information security controls based on ISO/EC 27002 for cloud services
  • ISO 27018:2019 – Code of practice for protection of personally identifiable information (PII) in public clouds acting as PII processors

“Concerns regarding data security, especially when handling sensitive data, come up relatively often in discussions about migrating to the cloud. We consistently provide our potential clients with technical, legal and procedural arguments that clearly evidence how secure cloud computing is. The certifications we received are a confirmation that we provide our clients with access to fully secure environments that allow them to operate and grow their businesses in compliance with recognized global standards for data processing. A secure cloud can also become a strong impulse towards innovation for its users, and one of the strategic goals of OChK is to support innovation in the Polish economy through its digitization,” said Dariusz Sliwowski, Vice-President of OChK.

OChK implemented an Integrated Information Security and Business Continuity Management System, which is constantly monitored and improved, and its effectiveness is confirmed by the certificates awarded by external independent auditors.

“Obtaining these four recognized certifications so early in the company’s development demonstrates the very high organizational maturity of OChK. It was possible because advanced digital security, with strong focus on information security of the entities that use our services, has been the foundation of our operations from the outset and has determined the scope and pace of our work,” said Adam Marczynski, Chief Security Officer at OChK.

For certification, OChK has partnered with BSI Group, a British certification body with more than a century of experience, which offers its services in more than 190 countries. The Polish branch of BSI Group has operated for more than 20 years.

Concerns regarding data and system security are the most important factor hampering organizations’ move to the cloud. In the “Chmura publiczna w Polsce” [Public Cloud in Poland] survey conducted by Deloitte, Google Cloud and ICAN Institute, 43% of respondents whose companies do not use the public cloud believe migration to the cloud would lower the level of data and system. The same survey shows how different attitudes are of companies that are already using the cloud, with as many as 87% citing increased security as one of the most important benefits of cloud implementation. This is the third most often cited advantage, after cost optimization and infrastructure scalability.
